Vegas Single Deck Blackjack

Vegas single deck Blackjack is you against the house, head to head, one deck of cards.

First, choose the denomination of chip you want to play by clicking on the chips. $2.00, $5.00, $25.00 or $100.00. Your chosen amount will be highlighted. Then ante-up - place your bet on the table by clicking on the circle below the Place Your Bets message. You can add additional chips by clicking multiple times. You can also remove chips or change the combination of denominations at any time until you are ready for the cards to be dealt.

As soon as there are chips on the table, two new buttons appear: Clear - which removes the bet entirely, allowing you to choose a different amount and Deal . Once you click Deal , the game starts and no further changes can be made.

The player receives two cards, face up. The dealer receives two cards, the first one is dealt face down and is hidden from view.

As with all Blackjack games, the object is to beat the dealer's hand without the sum of your cards exceeding 21.

You may click the Hit button, which will result in you receiving an additional card from the shoe, or Stand . If you choose Stand then the dealer's hidden card is revealed.

The dealer must continue to draw cards up to 17 (Dealer must also draw on a 'soft' 17 where one of the cards is an Ace.

If the dealer receives an Ace or a ten as the face up card in the initial deal then the dealer will 'Peek ' - take a look at the face down card without it being displayed to the player. If the dealer has Blackjack (Ace+10/Face Card), then the card is revealed and the game ends at that point, if not, then the game continues.

If the dealer's face card is an Ace then you have the option of an Insurance bet. An additional 50% of the original bet is added to the table. The dealer then 'Peeks ' at the face down card. If the card is a ten then the dealer wins the game and you receive your wager back, including the insurance. If, however, the dealer does not have Blackjack and you win the hand the you forfeit the insurance bet and the return is 2x the original bet only.

If player receives two cards of the same value in the initial deal then the option is there to 'Split' the hand - each card becomes the first card in two separate hands.

In this instance the initial bet is doubled and two additional cards are dealt. Each hand is played separately.

If you receive cards totaling 9,10 or 11 in the first deal then you have the option to double your bet. Click on the '2x Double' button and your initial bet is doubled - as are your winnings if you win the hand.
